Hey Guys! According to VanAshBreNique, Vanessa was spotted at a rehearsal for Will [in Austin, Texas]. That's probably why there haven't been many candids! Looks like she escaped the paparazzi flying out of LAX because Aly commented on her myspace saying that she was leaving to go Austin on the 25th of Jan for the filming of Will. I'm so excited for the movie!!!Also, Congrats to our own Baby V for making #4 on TV Guide's Top 10 Teen Idols! (Zac is #2 and her Will co-star Aly Michalka [& her sister AJ] made #10.) Are Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens too young to get married? Many fans already have the pair together for life and while that may be the eventual result don't expect wedding bells for Zanessa anytime soon. "I'm way too young," says the star who admitted to Tyra Banks that she "freaked out" when she met celeb crush Matt Damon.And forget kids. “Right now, I do not like kids at all,” she tells Us Weekly magazine in this week's issue. “I love my fans and everything, but when you have little kids following you around all day, it like ‘Oh God, kids!’ Maybe when I get older that will change.” As far as Efron’s recent hospitalization for appendicitis, “He’s doing good,” says Hudgens.
Vanessa admits that even though she made $2 million last year, thanks to the Disney juggernaut High School Musical, she just wants to be normal. "I miss being able to walk around in sweats 24/7," the much photographed star tells Us. “You don’t want to get caught wearing a nasty old shirt!”

Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are pals. The two shot to stardom together with the High School Musical film franchise and are now very close. Ashley was there for Vanessa through her wild ride with her stripped down photos scandal and Vanessa has backed Ashley through her latest plastic surgery brouhaha. They apparently share everything, well except Vanessa boyfriend Zac Efron, although Ash and Zac are very close friends as well.***
The pair sat for an interview with Us Weekly magazine and the interviewer asked the two young starlets, "What makes your bond so strong?" Ashley answered, "I call her my twin sister. She’s always there for me. Some people are really competitive, (but) we’re not. We’re really supportive of each other. You don’t find that a lot in this business."

Vanessa added, "We were never competitive in any way, shape or form. We completely understand each other. She’s a lot of fun and she’s grounded." They also confessed that they share clothes and pretty much everything else, well except for Zac Efron.

Hey! Sorry for the lack of updates. I was out of town and I'm back now and I have a lot of updates to make but right now I just want to let you in on a little info! Zac is supposed to be presenting tonight at the "Screen Actors Guild Awards" tonight at 8/7c on TNT and according to Entertainment Tonight's seating chart he is bringing Vanessa! Let's hope so! We should have pictures tonight or tomorrow if it's true! Don't forget to watch for Zac though!

Vanessa Hudgens picks up boyfriend Zac Efron from a pal’s house in North Hollywood on Saturday.Earlier in the day, Vanessa was seen getting out of her Audi V8 convertible in a very tight parking spot at Bobs Big Boy restaurant. The High School Musical then sped off to pick up Zac.
Zac was recently hospitalized due to appendicitis.
Zanessa grabbed lunch at California Pizza Kitchen for a bite to eat before heading home.

More music news from VanAshBreNique!Did anyone read/notice our Vanessa music news from last week? You know the part about how she’s looking into recording 20 songs for her second album and how there are talks about moving up the release date to April? What? You didn’t read that? Way to show us you <3 us... :pout:
But that's okay, it's another week and we got another update (it has become a weekly sort of thing here in VABN)
So okay... like I've mentioned, she's looking into recording 20 songs. As of last night, she has recorded 16. She hopes to finish recording main vocals of all 20 by end of this coming week - end of this month, the latest. The plan is to choose 12 tracks (out of the 20) for her album, and 3 or 4 tracks as bonuses. The remaining tracks could possibly be use as re-release or saved for another album.
Hollywood Records is really excited about all the buzz that this album has been getting at this early stage. So they are playing with the possibility of releasing it as early as April. Of course Vanessa's schedule would come to play since she got Will to film until about March and production of HSM3 is currently scheduled to start on April 21st. I’m sure Hollywood Records would like her to have some time to push the album. A good indicator of this earlier release will be how early radio stations will get her first single. So keep an “ear” out for that.

Vanessa Hudgens received the star treatment from the paparazzi when she was spotted making a quick stop at a Mobil gas station near her Studio City home earlier today (January 17). Driving around in her birthday Audi S4 Cabriolet, a source on the scene said, “When not taking her picture, one of the photographers even helped her pump gas.”
Meanwhile, as she continues on with her busy recording and filming duties, the High School Musical star must be glad to have settled a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed against her by her former lawyer.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Vanessa was sued last month by ex-attorney Brian Schall, who claimed she owed him over $150,000 for helping launch her career. During a court hearing on Tuesday, the “two parties came to an agreement over the issue, although the details of which have yet to be disclosed,” reports E! News. [Gossip Girls]

Vanessa Hudgens makes a generous gesture in Los Angeles on Monday, showing her generosity by giving a $10 bill to a homeless man sitting by the side of the road.
The High School Musical alum, who was driving her convertible Audi with her mom Gina, made the kind gesture as she was waiting at a red traffic light.
The mother-daughter duo then headed to a pharmacy, and later met up with a female friend to grab lunch. When Vanessa returned home, she covered her nose with her hand because of strong smells of asphalt as the street was being re-surfaced.
At the end of the day, Vanessa bought some more clothes at Urban Outfitters in Studio City. She just seems to live there, doesn’t she? [Just Jared]

Practicing those all-important driving skills in her new Audi, Vanessa Hudgens kept up her hectic recording schedule by paying a visit to the studio on Saturday (January 12).
Stylishly dressed in a long sleeve striped shirt, jean shorts and unstrapped cream boots, the High School Musical hottie made her way in to the Santa Monica music haven, followed by her mother, Gina, and younger sister, Stella.
Meanwhile, as previously reported by Gossip Girls, Vanessa is prepping for a new role set to begin shooting in Austin, Texas next month.

Zac Efron Rushed to the Hospital // Posted on January 15 by Jessie
As some of you may already know, Vanessa's BF Zac was recently rushed to the hospital today for appendicitis. We hope you have a fast and safe recovery Zac! You're in our prayers and God bless you! We're sure Vanessa will help him out! :)Zac Efron was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center today suffering from appendicitis.
His rep said, “He had his appendix removed and is recuperating.”
Zac should make a full recovery from the surgery, which shouldn’t disrupt the filming of High School Musical 3: Senior Year at all.
We hope girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens has good bedside manner–she’ll be there throughout his entire recovery!

I'm so excited! It has been confirmed that Vanessa will be starring in a new film called "Will", directed by Todd Graff. It will be filmed in Austin, Texas and it looks like she will be playing a 15-year old outcast named Sam. It is also confirmed she will be alongside the talented Phil of The Future star, Alyson Michalka. Rumored cast members include, A Series of Unfortunate Events star Liam Aiken, and Justin Timberlake! Here are some articles below explaining more about the movie and her character...The 19-year-old High School Musical star is set to act in feature film Will, which shoots February in Austin, Texas is about a battle of the bands at a high school.
Here’s a description of the role Vanessa will be playing: [SAM] The 5 is silent. Sam is 15 years old, dressed down in black jeans and t-shirt, with hair strategically hiding her face from the world, she is a loner, one of the school’s outsiders, constantly seen with a book in hand. Smart, with a sense of humor and a lot of disdain for her shallow peers, Sam is a former stutterer and now speaks slowly and deliberately. She teams up with Will on a class project, and the two quickly discover they have a lot in common. Their friendship eventually takes the shape of a burgeoning romance. Okay, so we all have this dream of what kind of roles Vanessa or any of the Disney Channel stars to have one day right (cough Monique for Drama!)? For crystal, it would be Matt Damon’s leading lady in the next Bourne film and trust us, there will be another one if we have anything to say about it. And everyone does know crystal, right? See….enough said.
But what if we told you that our, meaning Chay and me, dream is sort of edging out crystal’s dream right now. But just think about it. Justin Timberlake, the Prince from old school Disney Channel meets Vanessa Hudgens, the current reigning Princess of new school Disney Channel on the big screen. Together. Chay and I will beg and plead our way to the premiere….no matter what it takes. But just remember - this information is not confirmed, but we’re hoping and praying that it is. So, cross your fingers and pray we get something back from the casting director on the film!

"High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens has signed on to star in "Will," Walden Media's coming-of-age dramedy being directed by Todd Graff. Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas is producing.
Written by Graff and Josh Cagan, the script centers on a high school outcast and a popular girl who form an unlikely bond through their shared love of music. They assemble a like-minded crew of misfits and form a rock group to perform in a battle of the bands competition at their school.
Hudgens is playing Sam, a 15-year-old former stutterer now speaking slowly and deliberately, who becomes romantically entangled with the lead outcast.
The movie is set to shoot February in Austin.
Graff is an actor-turned-director who made his helming debut with 2003's "Camp."
Hudgens is best known for playing Gabriella Montez in "Musical" movies, the third of which is scheduled to shoot later this year. Her feature credits include "Thunderbirds" and "Thirteen."

Zac Efron hit the Palm Springs Film Festival showing off his most valuable possession- his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens. Looks like love is still in the air for this young hollywood couple. They showed up matching and very much together! In fact they were inseparable the whole night. Vanessa supporting her man stood to the side while cameras snapped pictures of solo Zac. She even cheered on his name while fans went wild for his attention. After they walked hand and hand inside. High School Musical 3: Official Shooting Date Confirmed // Posted on January 5 by Jessie
High School Musical 3 was expected to start shooting in January, but the recently-closed location deal in Utah indicates that April 21 is when the cameras will start shooting.Based on the documents filed with the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development board (GOED), Utah will again be the setting for Disney's much awaited third installment. Filming is set to begin from April 21 and is expected to be wrapping up by June 13, with a theatrical release later this year. “High School Musical [3] will be officially shooting in Utah,” Lisa Roskelly, spokeswoman for Utah Governor John Huntsman Jr., confirmed.
In an effort to ensure the production in Utah at Lake City's East High School, the GOED board reportedly approved a maximum $2 million incentive for the production. This is the largest incentive ever given to entice a filmmaker to Utah, given that the state provided $263,000 in incentives for the original High School Musical and $500,000 for High School Musical 2.
While Disney officials decline to comment, East High School Principal Paul Sagers reveals that he and Salt Lake City School District officials have been meeting with Disney executives about renting the East High building for filming. Shooting is scheduled for 41 days, which is longer than the first two movies. So far, the first two productions of High School Musical have become a massive gold mine for Disney, generating merchandising that includes dolls, videos, and a national concert tour. The films have consistently earned high ratings not only in the United States, but in other countries as well.
"Each one has gradually become more prestigious after the success of the first one," Marshall Moore, director of the Utah Film Commission, said "And going from a cable release to a theatrical release certainly solidifies its position as a franchise."

It’s looking like we will hear what Vanessa’s sophomore will sound like, at least one of the songs anyway, come March when radio stations are said to be receiving the promo disc for the first single. So get ready to request it!And remember what we mentioned in the last update about a possible single, “Whisper”? That single is describe as having a “rhythmic beat” and a “pretty sexy style”. There’s even a mention of Vanessa teasing a guy she likes in this song. *raises eyebrows*
How about this title for a single, “It Feels Right”? Well, let’s add that to the list of possible single - it sounds like a good fit. ;)
And we now have a tentative release schedule too - late May/early June, just in time for summer vacation. [VanAshBreNique]
Guess what? We have yet more info on Vanessa’s upcoming sophomore album for you.
Remember the song we mentioned last time - I Will ? Well, it turns out this song was actually co-written by no other than Hilary Duff. Not only is Vanessa wanting to record it; she’s really hoping the song makes it to her album. She must really like the song. And you know what is getting me excited about it? It’s a ballad. I’m a sucker for those - especially the sappy ones.
And that’s not the only news - the day the picture on this entry was taken, Vanessa was on her way to finish recording her 14th song. That’s right -# 14! And she plans to keep recording until the end of February. Also, remember this entry on a song written by Jessie Malakouti? Well, Jessie just had a meeting with Hollywood Records reps, presumably to talk about getting Trash Me recorded by someone in Hollywood Records. Hmmm.. I wonder who could it possibly be?
Of course, we’ll keep you updated on any developments… hopefully the next update will be a confirmation on the rumored Spring release of Vanessa’s album. Oh.. before I finish this - keep the word Whisper in mind. You might just see it on the list of songs on Vanessa’s sophomore release.
UPDATE: even more thing to get excited about - JR Rotem (The Game, Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears) and Sean Garrett (Destiny’s Child, Rianna, Chris Brown, Usher) are reported to be producing for the album… and Blender Magazine is forecasting the album as one to watch for 2008
